Zoom integration guide

Adding, using and removing the Zoom integration in psisula: connect a Zoom account, generate session links automatically, and disconnect.

Last updated:

psisula is practice management software for psychotherapists. The Zoom integration exists for one job: when a therapist marks an appointment as an online session, psisula creates the Zoom meeting on that therapist’s own Zoom account and attaches the join link to the appointment. When the appointment is later moved or cancelled, psisula moves or deletes that same meeting.

The integration uses three Zoom permissions — meeting:write:meeting, meeting:update:meeting and meeting:delete:meeting — and makes three calls: create a meeting, change its time, and delete it. It never joins meetings and never reads meeting content, recordings, transcripts or participant lists.

The psisula application interface is available in Turkish only. This English guide describes the same screens; the Turkish label of each screen is given in brackets so the steps can be followed in the app.

Before you start

  • A psisula account with the therapist role. psisula is sold to clinics; accounts are created by your clinic administrator or by us, not through public self-registration.
  • A Zoom account you can sign in to, on any plan that allows you to create meetings.
  • One telehealth provider is active at a time. If a Google Meet connection or a fixed meeting link is already saved, remove it first — the other options stay disabled until you do.

Adding the app

  1. Sign in at app.psisula.com.
  2. Open Settings [Ayarlar] from the user menu, then the Telehealth tab [Uzaktan Görüşme].
  3. On the Zoom row, click Connect [Bağla]. psisula sends you to Zoom’s own authorization page.
  4. Sign in to Zoom if you are not already signed in, review the requested permission, and click Allow.
  5. Zoom returns you to the Telehealth tab. The Zoom row now reads Connected [Bağlı] with the date the connection was made.

If the connection fails, the page shows a “could not connect” message [Bağlanılamadı] and nothing is stored. See Troubleshooting below.

You can also reach this screen directly, once signed in, at app.psisula.com/settings?tab=telehealth.

Usage

Prerequisite: a connected Zoom account, as above.

  1. Open an appointment from the calendar, or create a new one.
  2. Mark the appointment as an online session [Uzaktan].
  3. Save. psisula calls Zoom once, creates the meeting on your Zoom account, and stores the join link with that appointment.

The link appears in three places: on the appointment in the therapist’s calendar, in the client’s portal, and in the appointment reminder sent to the client. Nobody has to create a meeting by hand or paste a link between two tools.

Prerequisite: no Zoom or Google Meet connection.

A therapist who prefers a single standing meeting room can paste their own link on the Telehealth tab instead of connecting a provider. psisula then attaches that link to online appointments and makes no Zoom API call at all.

What psisula stores

  • The Zoom OAuth access and refresh tokens, encrypted at rest.
  • The meeting join URL, encrypted at rest, stored with the appointment it belongs to.

Nothing else from Zoom is stored, and no Zoom data is shared with third parties.

Removing the app

In psisula:

  1. Go to Settings [Ayarlar] › Telehealth [Uzaktan Görüşme].
  2. On the Zoom row, click Disconnect [Bağlantıyı Kaldır] and confirm.

In Zoom:

  1. Sign in to the Zoom App Marketplace.
  2. Open Manage › Added Apps, find psisula, and click Remove.

What happens when you remove it

  • The stored OAuth tokens and the connection record are deleted from psisula. Disconnecting in psisula deletes them immediately; removing the app in Zoom revokes them at Zoom, and we delete our copy when you disconnect in psisula, which we ask you to do as well.
  • No further meetings are created. New online appointments will require a manually pasted link, or another provider.
  • Meetings already created on your Zoom account are not cancelled or deleted — they remain yours, under your own Zoom account and Zoom’s retention settings.
  • Join links already attached to past or upcoming appointments stay on those appointments as part of the clinical record. To have them erased, ask us at [email protected] or delete the appointments.
  • Nothing else in your psisula account is affected: clients, notes and appointments are untouched.
